Bountiful on Abbot Kinney

Amazing Tower of Cake Stands!

Recently my friend and I spent a much needed lovely afternoon walking the streets of Abbot Kinney in Venice. If you have never been there it consists of around six or eight blocks of eclectic shops, boutiques, and various restaurants and cafe’s. Great place to take a date! We enjoyed a unique spiritual book store, a jewelry store full of interesting pieces, and many fashion boutiques. But what stuck most in my head was Bountiful.

When we walked in I instantly fell in love and thought I would have to bring my mom here next time she comes to town because she would love it too. A one of a kind store filled with tons of artfully decorated match books, sweet smelling candles and soaps, amazingly elegant linens, decorative items and furnishings. A beautiful blend of old and new, antique and chic. The most memorable part of their store for me was this dynamic display of cake stands towering in the window to catch everyone’s eye that walks by. I almost took a picture but restrained my self, this was an image I wouldn’t soon forget. Picture or not.

As I lay awake one night trying to find my vision for my first ever bridal expo booth I knew I HAD to have those cake plates. Brides could use cake plates too, it was perfect!  And a friendship was born!
